Cranbourne gardens

History, indeginous Hi, welcome back to Ivi Potato Frog’s blog!

For history this term we went to have an adventure in Cranbourne gardens to have aboriginal learning and an enjoyable fun time on Tuesday 27th of May!

The bus ride was 1 hour long, but I didn’t get bored once!

We firstly went to a small playground/garden to play a bit and eat fruit snack, after we each got assigned a parent helper which I got Kieran’s mother with my best friend Bella and also Joseph!

There was 3 friendly teacher guides and we got a Steve who is traditionally aboriginal, so we finally set off!

First we went to a small place where Steve talked to us about spears; boomerangs; weaved baskets; possum skin and Steve also showed us how to make fires!

Next we went to the food garden where we smelled lemon mantle and native citrus, we also listened to Steve talk about other fun aboriginal food/plants!

After that we went aboriginal painting on the ground and each other!Steve even let us each put a hand print on a rock wall!

Best of all we went on a treasure hunt and did fun activities with our groups!A few of the activities are:Making stick sculptures, stick wands ,tallest tree and strongest smell!

Finally we went to a giant playground which my friend Bella accidentally face planted into the sand!

Perimeter Fun

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to my amazing blog!

IN school we did a exciting task with perimeter, involving our teacher providing questions and we answered them in our maths grid book.

We had loads of fun and really liked the questions our teacher provided!I think the best one was the first question asking to name as many shapes that has a perimeter of 16cm.

Here is a photo of my work:

Do you like perimeter?

Nursing home

Greeting everyone,

Welcome back to Ivi Potato’s blog!

On the 24th of March, we had a very exciting trip to a Nursing Home!

We met elders and had a lot of fun! The Elders were really nice!

We also shared our ME BAGS with them.ME BAGS are bags we designed ourselves to show our personality and likes! We also put various items that we like and are special to us!

The Nursing home was actually quite warm so the Elders could meditate and we learnt that another reason the nursing home was so warm because our skins are thicker but because they are older they needed to be more warm!

We heard the Elders haven’t been visited in around 1 year because of Covid-19 so they were also were really excited for our visit too!

Here is a  photo:

I really liked our visit and I hope we can visit every single day!

Would you like to visit a nursing home? Why?

My avatar

Have you ever made a avatar? Well it is really fun!

In my avatar I have long hair because my mum made me cut my hair short but I much prefer myself with long hair.

Avatars are really just the cartoon version of you so it can replace you on the internet or on your blog.

I really suggest you making an avatar because it is truly fun to redesign yourself!
